Casa Flanagan, (originally built in the Bauhaus tradition for an artist from Madrid in 1982) was extended in the 1990’s by an Irish sculptor, incorporating a number of eccentric features.

Two new bathrooms were then added in 2001.

The villa is situated half a kilometre from the main road, 2Km from Santa Eulalia village on a plot of 4,000m2 surrounded by woodland and farmland.

One can walk along the back road to Santa Eulalia in 25 minutes. The main part of the house consists of three bedrooms, three bathrooms and three reception rooms. The kitchen (5.8m x 3m) opens into a large breakfast room (5.7m x 5m) with bay window and large Aga cooker which takes the chill off the whole house in winter. The study (5m x 6m max.), accessed through a low Moroccan door is snug and light. The main living room (10m x 8m) has a good fireplace, stage (for dancing flamenco) and incorporates round, triangular and rectangular windows. This room opens through large double doors on to an enormous shaded terrace with outside kitchen, pool (9 m diameter) and fertile garden. There is also a covered side terrace with pool table.

Upstairs is a master apartment with its own entrance which can also be incorporated in the main house either as bedrooms 4 and 5 or as a nursery wing. This area has two large rooms (8m x 4.8m and 5.3m x 5.2m), a bathroom (3m x 3m) and kitchenette (2m x 2m).

To one side of the house is a studio house/ maid’s quarters (5.6m x 3.5m) with its own kitchen (3.5m x 3m) and outside shower room. Between this and the main house are ample workrooms which include; workshop (7.5m max. x 6m), store room (5.8m x 3.3m), boat store (3.7m x 3.5m). There is also a good laundry room opening onto a washing line terrace with its own lavatory and bike shed to one side.

Being close enough to Santa Eulalia the house has mains electricity 220v & 380v, mains water and telephone with ADSL broadband internet connection. The property also has gas central heating.

The quiet and secluded garden (4,000m2) features olive and fig trees, bamboo, rockery and a tree house. It was designed to be low maintenance and is very much integrated into the living spaces of the house. There is ample parking at the front of the house.
